Question scan tool

I have a01 grand prix gt 3.8 n/s... Im just currious what is the actual difference between an tech 2 scan tool. and a ACTRON scan tool. is it worth buying a tech 2 scan tool for my grand prix ( used guy at work want 580.cash) or spending about 145 less and getting a actron with all the bells and whistles. what is my benefit with the tech 2 vs the acton.. thanks guys..

Re: scan tool

580 cash is a lot to spend, but that tech 2 is going to do a million times more on GM vehicles than the actron brand can.

Re: scan tool

Depends what all comes with the tech2..cables, software etc. They are "GM dealer issue" scan tools, they are bi-directional and will do EVERYTHING. New they are around $5K. If you don't buy it, let me know and I will. I doubt if the Actro is bi-directional.
