Fujimi Ford GT40 1/24 1966 LeMans 2nd

Hello everybody,

I'm from Belgium and I mostly built vintage racers en rallycars.
My time for this hobby is minimum but I love doing it.
The unbuild kits I have in stock are 100+, but I'm not planning to sell one piece of it.
I hope I will get old and build them all.

I want you all show you my latest project.
Ít's the 1966 Ford GT40 witch finished 2nd at LeMans.

The build was box stock, accept for the PE wiper and PE backlight rings (these are tacho-rings) and and decal-sheet from Ebay.
Paint is from Flexa zachtblauw (Flexa softblue in English) some cheap spray from Karwei (a hardwareshop), it's just the perfect blue because its very light blue.
With 3 layers ZeroPaints 2K clear on top.
I also tried to weather the car like at the end of the event.
Look and enjoy!

Greetz Maurits

Great built, looks realy nice with the battlescars on it!! Maybe you should have a look at the right/left ride hight. The right seems a little bit lower in the pictures. Or maybe it finished that way and you re-enacted that! Haven't seen the car when crossing the finishline

Myself being a GT1 addict am now seriously thinking of getting a gt40 aswell, yours does inspirate me.

I was talking about the weathering job, nice job. battle scars (littekens van de 24 uurs gevecht ) Good the hight was only because of the camera (had the feeling it was because of the camera, but wasn't sure about it)
