2000 Alero wont start

Alright first off its a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero with the 3400 v6 in it.
Went to work the other day and it ran fine. Got to work cut the car off went to work hours later come back out car started fine. Drove home parked it in the driveway. Next morning my sister ask could she drive to the store. She gets in try to start the car and nothing not even a turn over. Prior to this never had any problems out of the car oil was changed no leaks all maint was done regularly. But also when I try to start the car the car would start right up no hesitation, but the starter sound like it would stick for a second or 2 after starting the car. Everybody that I have talked to has said ALTERNATOR. Someone please give me some useful advise... I am thinking that it is the starter that has froze. Also lights come on all panel lights come on. Good charge on the battery. Still nothing. Any helpful tips?
