GTO Tail pipe location

Hello all,

I have a 1972 leMans/GTO and right now both tail pipes are out of the rear. I have seen many photos where the splitters are located behind the rear wheels. I was going to have them re-located but then came across some more photos of the tail pipe being in the rear...Any input?

Thanks, Phil

Re: GTO Tail pipe location

If there are "cutouts" in the real valance for the "splitters" (dual outlet pipe extensions), that's where they "go". GTO had them. I can't swear Lemans did or didn't. Ames Performance has all the necessary information and can hook you up with the correct parts.
