how long to relearn idle on 94 Jimmy

I waswandering how long it takes for the computer to relearn the idle? Do you have to drive it and everything for it to get the idle right? Sitting in park it idles fine, just like when slowing down it seems to idle low, I have only drove it maybe 5 minutes, not very far, I am planning on an hour trip in the morning and was just curious

1 hr should more than do it.
Do not hold at steady speed slow and speed up part of time.
Also cleaning TBI buttery fly with carb cleaner/TBI cleaner and tooth brush sometimes helps.
Let us know if it does not reset.

WEll MT I drove it an hour to work and an hour home, seems to be ok now, but I got a small miss ater it warms up when idling. I have not changed the rotor cap and button yet, put new wires and plugs in it, old plugs were Bosch super, 4 of the 6 were loose, one plug wire was pretty bad and broke on me, could misfiring have made the cap and button go bad or the coil?

Yes a bad wire can burn up cap and rotor.
Also check dist shaft side play.
94 dist is bad on wearing out shaft bushing and getting shaft wobble causing misfire.
And drop the bosh in the trash can and use good ac DELCO PLUGS.

Let us know what you find in there.
