1993 jeep grand cherokee Transfer case swap

I have a 1993 jgc limited with just 4All time N and 4 Low on the transer case shifter if i switch out the transfer case would it work if i switched it with a 2 wheel drive with a 4 wheel option

Yes...it's a common swap to replace the full time viscous unit with (I think) the np231 case, which allows 2wd, full time 4wd and part time 4wd.

There are several threads discussing exactly what you're talking about, do a search for 231 and you should find them easily.
