Post 97 GMC 2500 suburban flexplate R & R

Hello
I have a 97 GMC suburban 2500 FWD that needs the flexplate replaced.
Does anyoine know a link showing the process for replacing the flexplate? or..can the tranny and transfer case both be slid back together for enough room to access the flexplate without having to remove them...Flexplate missing a few teeth in one spot so replacing the flexplate..

Thank you

4WD the transmission and transfer case needs to come out or engine removed.

Most 4WD trucks engine or transmission R&R is about same time.

Around 6 to 8 hrs flate rate time.
