74 F100 Not starting now

Ok...Ive been driving my dent side around for awhile now. Was running fine (except the high idle cam that needs adjusting), anyway I drove to work shut it off came back a couple hours later and it wouldnt start. After multiple attempts at starting it fired up and was able to drive. Drove it a couple miles to an appt. Came out and same problem. This time after multiple starting attempts again I quit. The motor turns and has/gets fuel to the carb (I removed the air cleaner and opened the throttle and fuel squirted in). When I repeatedly press/depress the gas pedal it almost wants to start but no go. Spark plugs, ignition module, distributor, carb out of adjustment? Still a newbie and not a mechanic just a parts changer that enjoys older trucks so be easy please. Thanks all!!

I presume the choke blade closes when it should, right?

Pull a spark plug and test for spark. Pull a few more plugs and see what they look like. Are they dry and tan-color, or are they black and wet or sooty-looking.

Take a look under the distributor cap. Is it dry or damp? Your current weather conditions and driving habits are good for forming condensation under the distributor cap.

Also, is this truck electronic ignition? It may still be points.

It seemed like those older Ford trucks would flood easy!

I'll check the plugs this weekend. Yes it still has points, I want to change it to electric but havnt gotten to that on my laundry list of repairs/upgrades. I dont how to check if the choke is functioning correctly.
