93 Taurus Wagon Dash Lights

OK I'm pretty crafty and usually don't have this many problems but I'm stuck and my mechanical husband is on the road as a truck driver so here's my issue.

The lights for the dash refuse to work...I've torn dash apart and replaced all the bulbs, checked all fuses they are good to go. Messed with the dimmer switch til my fingers were numb and still nothing!!! Anyone have any ideas? I'm trying to sell this car and the gentleman inquiring about it has asked for me to solve this problem...All the other lights work, the lights for the heater and a/c are fine, the stereo lights up, the clock works, the interior lights work, just no lights for the speedometer, fuel, and thermostat...PLZ HELP!!!!!
