drivers door window switches

Anyone having any problems with illumanation lamps on 2002 avalanche drivers door master panel !! My 2 bottom switches L and R rear windows light up fine . Two upper switches L and R front nothing , Also everything up from that is dark, rear window lock out ,and power mirror control adjuster is dark . Any thoughts , was told by my mechanic that that whole cluster is like $ 300 .00 and more cost to have dealer program it to the truck when replaced !!
