Question
I am working overseas and bought a 1986 735i. I was wondering where I can find the meaning of the German warnings displayed on the gauge cluster? Any help would be appreciated.

 do you mean the inspection light?if so you need a reset tool for the plug on the top of the engine...there is also an oil service light which is also reset the same way...if they don't reset then you must replace the battery is the back of the cluster.i heard you can get the batt.from radio shack.remove the steering wheel nut 1" and the screws at the top of the cluster.it pulls out from top to bottom.remove wiring clips.dig through till you find it..i believe the batt as to be sodered on.
