04 replacing factory radio- no power
Have an 04 Tahoe with the Bose system, no Onstar. Bought a JVC KD-R600 receiver and the Scosche GM2000 harness. I have got all the wires connected, doubled check myself, black wire grounded to car. The GM2000 powers and chimes but I'm getting no power to the stereo. I've tried the only thing JVC recommendes which is the reset button. Still nothing. What am I missing???? This is the 3rd car stereo I've installed, never had such an issue with a stereo everyone says is super easy to install. Any suggestions?

Re: 04 replacing factory radio- no power
Yes, I used the connector that came with the jvc, connected all wires to the GM2000 then used the harness on the GM2000 to connect directly to original harness, so power is getting to the GM2000, that lights up and dings.

Quote:
with the diagrams look for the switch on ckt. with a meter check for power at the connections..battery feed always on ,ignition power feed when switched on at ignition on.. make sure you have a good ground point...use meter to verify good ground. |

Re: 04 replacing factory radio- no power
Defective harness. Returned and exchanged, installed, powered right up. How aggravating. Thanks for the help.
