gas gauge

Hi everyone,

So my gas gauge on the dash no longer works. Anyone ever have this issue? Wondering how much the fix is and if it's even worth replacing. Might even be a sensor issue. Thanks as always.

Re: gas gauge

Could be the gauge at the IP but to start check out the fuel level sending unit which is part of the fuel pump assembly.

Also which Driver Information Center (DIC) do you have. The basic or enhanced?

If you had the enhanced DIC with trip computer you probably would see the readings acting up when the fuel level sending unit is bad.

Also, the fuel level signal to the fuel gauge goes to the powertrain control module (PCM) first and then to the IP.
