smelly exhaust

I have a 95 3.2 Rodeo and the exhaust really stinks very bad. It smelled bad before i took the cat converter off. I thought it was that but it's not. It's the worst smelling exhaust I've ever smelt it does use more fuel then it should it's been doing this for quite some time, but I finally figured I'd ask for any ideas. There is no CEL on or anything it does run good but i believe it's using too much fuel

is it using more oil or coolant than normal? is so you might have a cracked head. if not it is probally the feul you are using or an additive you are adding to it ie. injector cleaner, octane boost.......

Start with a new Fuel filter, Air fiter, and PCV valve.

it does use some oil but it does leak a small amount. It uses no coolant and there is no additives in the fuel. Full tune up was done in the last 7-8k. the truck runs good just uses too much fuel and really smelly exhaust i guess it's extremely burning rich.

Than a new Air Mass meter, and O2 sensors.

It doesn't have a MAF sensor. I'm still suprised the CEL isn't on or anything. I did notice while i was working on it in the garage over the weekend, that is splattered my brand new garage door with black soot or something and it was only at a idle.

Look under Engine & drivetrain, Air filters & Intake systems.

Both MAF & AMM are used for metering air, they tell the ecu how much air s being used,
so the ecu can adjust the fuel pulse.

We have replaced many MAF's, or AMM's, that didn't throw a code.

my vehicle doesn't have a MAF or a AMM this is the older 95 model the air intake goes from the air cleaner box to the throttle body. Would the MAP sensor cause this. I did unplug it and the check engine light came right on.
