1997 Camry - Cigarette Lighter & Clock Not Working
Hopefully this post will save you some time if you have the same problem. The solution is to replace the 15A fuse for the cig lighter. This fuse is NOT found under the hood. It is found in the fuse panel behind the spare change drawer, near the driver's left knee.
Empty the change from the drawer, pull firmly up and out on the drawer to remove it, and you will see the fuse panel in the opening. The fuse panel layout is on the back of the drawer. You will find spare fuses in the main fuse panel under the hood. Forget the Haynes manual - no mention of the change drawer and the need to remove it. |
