entrance lights not coming-on Montana 2003

Hi, After cold snap in Montreal, entrance lights not working. I have a few questions,
Could a burn out light cause the entrance lights from coming on.
I have check all fuses, all is fine.
Could I reprogram the entrance light system.
Is this problem related to the override switch in the center top consol. When activated, seems to work normally.
How to find out if a broken or unsoldered wire somewhere could be problem.
Any info would be app.

"Is this problem related to the override switch in the center top console?"

"When activated, seems to work normally."

When the overhead override light switch is activated, it turns the power OFF to the courtesy lights.
If the lights do not come on anyway, how do you know if the light override switch is working?

Check to ensure the rheostat (dimmer switch) isn't turned all the way down.

NOW, if the lights do not work when you open the drivers door, you'll have to inspect the activation switch which may be in the door handle latch or in the door frame in the shape of a plunger.

If there is only ONE light burned out, all the rest will stay lit.

It MAY be possible to have a broken wire inside the wiring cover where the wiring goes between the door and the cabin.

Re: entrance lights not coming-on Montana 2003

Thanks for reply,
Over ride switch for fine.
dimmer switch ok
I will have to check activation switch inside door but before doing that, I suspect a broken wire between door and cabin as this rubber protected harness seems twisted and out of shape.
Also, I read in this site the possibility of an unsoldered wire at the consol switch. This is easy to check.
Will keep u posted. Thanks for good advices.
