Can anyone help identify the exact year of this truck?

While doing some research, I came across this article about Bella's truck in Twilight. Other than knowing that it's a 1960-66 Chevy truck, is there any to pin-point what year it is? I know each year through 1967 - 72 has something special about it. What do ya think experts?

The amber turn signal lenses indicate it's 1963 to '66 model. Otherwise. I know of no other distinguishing features to narrow things down further.

What features narrow it down to '63?

The grille , the wrap around windshield , and the style and location of the emblem on the fender identify it as a 1963 C10 truck . I have a 1965 C10 myself . Also , if you read the entire article , it tells you that it is a ' 63 Chevy step side .

Exactly, plus the fact that I am "of the age" and remember "back in the day" when you knew at a glance the year, make and model of every car that came down the street! Sadly, those days are gone. Do an image search on Google, (1963 Chevrolet C10) it's amazing what's there.

Okay, I see the year to year differences now.

I did read the entire article. I assumed it may be inaccurate, hence the OP's question.

I remember those days too. I could tell Oldsmobiles from everything else just by their sound.
The Olds engines sounded different from everything else, probably due to their firing order and their unique combustion chamber design.

Can you get the vin # and call the dealer. I don't know if that would help???

I did some more research. Looks like someone has bought the truck, it's confirmed as a '62 model.

As Oldblu65 mentioned, close examination of the style and placement of the fender badge nails it as a '63.
