noise in four wheel drive

i have a 90 bronco 11.....its got manual hubs,when it is in 4 wheel it makes a rubbing or scraping kind of noise from the front pass. wheel.....when i put the hubs on free the noise goes awayalready checked the outside bearing and it was good....any help is appeciated

Could be something in the hub or axle and your just not hearing it untill you put load on the front end.

could be a bad spindle bearing .somthing always overlooked because the spindle has to be removed to service it
