Can I Change The Rear End
Hello everyone I was wondering if anyone knew if I could change the rear end on an 86 cutlass so it would look like the rear end of a a 86 regal? It is easier to find a cutlass vs. a regal but I dont like the rear end of the cutlass. If someone knows please inform me. Thanx.

Re: Can I Change The Rear End
For pretty much all mechanics and car enthusiasts, a "rear end" is specifically the rear axle. But it seems as if you are talking about the rear 'clip', that is, all the body work at the rear of the car.
The sheet metal at the rear of these cars was subtly different, so the rear components are not compatible. Even if the Regal parts would fit, they would leave some strange ridges and bumps due to a mismatch with the remaining Cutlass parts. |
