1989 Chevy silverado 350 TBI over fueling problem
I've got a 350 tbi with a major overfueling problem. truck came in for blown head gaskets. sent heads out to be rebuilt and checked. came back OK. truck ran decent before the teardown. after re-assembly however, it ran like poop. has a very constant miss to it (not cylinder specific) but runs OK with a very very minor miss at or above 2000 rpms, but will not idle on its own. stumbles and dies due to flooding. have replaced map sensor, swapped out injectors from known good working motor, fuel filter, coolant temp sensor, verified correct distributor and ignition timing, has no air pump system. we have tried everything we can think of but after running only a few moments, you can shut it off, unplug both injectors, and fire it back up at 2000 rpms for a few seconds be4 it dies after burning fuel left in the intake. HELP!! any ideas would be appreciated.

Re: 1989 Chevy silverado 350 TBI over fueling problem
13 psi. found the problem about an hour ago. the other tech that did the head gaskets accidently overtightened the rocker arms about 1/4 turn each. re-adjusted them and it runs like a top. thanks for the effort!
