Exclamation 1997 grand cheeroke steering problems??

the problem started yesterday and it is consisting of when you are turning the steering wheel either way to the left and right it likes to catch and or lock up and this is when the vehicle is running i was thinking it might have something to do with the gear box
let me know what yall think

Try removing the center link from your pitman arm and then start it and turn it, if the wheels turns just fine then its somewhere in the steering parts underneath the front end.

Re: 1997 grand cheeroke steering problems??

thanks but i figgured it out it was actually a bad motor mount on the driver side....... the engine is sitting on the steering arms and causing it to buckle
thanks again
