no headlights/turn signal switch problem
Hi, about four months ago I was driving to work at night ( headlights on) and I started to notice a burning smell, so I quickly pulled over and noticed smoke was coming through my steering wheel column near my turn signal switch ( combination switch) I disregarded it and continued to and from work. The next day my headlights didn't work and the knob you twist to turn the wipers on didnt turn and grinded when I did try to turn it.
My buddy told me my turn signal switch shorted out so I proceeded get the plastic coverings off of my steering wheel column so I could access the turn signal switch. I found at the very back of the part the wires and the wiring harness that plugs from my car to the part was fried. Anyone know what happened or how much this will cost to get fixed? Thank you if you took the time to read and post any feedback -chad |

Re: no headlights/turn signal switch problem
I would suspect a bad muti turn light swith, and some blown fuse's.

Re: no headlights/turn signal switch problem
all my fuses and under the hood fuses are fine. I know the lever ( turn signal ) is bad and also the wire harness that plugs into the back of the turn signal is burnt along with some wires.
