97 taurus electronic climate control dead
My electronic climate control/radio on my 1997 taurus lx just went dead, i have not checked all the fuses but the obvious ones dont appear blown. Is there an onboard fuse or is the unit trashed.

Re: 97 taurus electronic climate control dead
So the display is completely blank? HOw about the button backlighting? With the lights on, do the buttons illuminate?

Re: 97 taurus electronic climate control dead
There are three fuses in the instrument panel fuse panel that pertain to the electronic automatic temperature control.

Nothing lites up the Rear defrost however does work, and the unit will light up when i turn off the care at night for the minute that the lights stay on until they power off.

Re: 97 taurus electronic climate control dead
Thank you for following up with what you found. Hopefully the blown fuse was a fluke and you don't find that you have an intermittant short causing the fuse to blow.
