2000 Buick Regal Driver info issues
I am having issues with the driver info readouts. My fuel gage fluctuates, the range function readings are erratic and so is the outside temp readout near the hvac controls. What gives? I am also getting nice toasty air coming into the passenger side of the vehicle but the driver side is lukewarm. This occurs whether in Dual mode or not, auto or not. Any suggestions?

Re: 2000 Buick Regal Driver info issues
Welcome to AF.
The fuel level sensor located at the fuel pump assembly in the gas tank is probably going bad which is a common problem. So that will affect the mileage readings on the DIC at the Instrument Panel. On the ambient temperature probably a bad sensor. On the heating issue the driver's side temperature actuator may not be operating properly. Sometimes resetting or re-programming the automatic climate control will cure the issue.

Re: 2000 Buick Regal Driver info issues
Thanks. I left the climat control in auto turned the ignition off then disconnected the neg. lead to the battery for a few minutes. When I reconnected it then turned the ignition key forward I heard what seemed to be a series of dampers opening and closing and noises behind the dash. The heat worked after that. Then stopped working 2 days later. I repeated the process and it is still working after another 2 days. Does this recalibrate itself? And what if it keeps occurring? I am going to replace the sending unit for th fuel gage soon too. Thanks for the reply.
