Adjusting The Timing In your Car

So my car likes knocking crazily when Im accelerating around on the roads. Can anyone tell me how you go about doing it? I have a haynes manual, but I feel like its not telling me enough.

i hope this helps (Knocking usually come from my experience the Valve u need to adjust them get a 10mm rachet dont think open wrench will work a feeler guage with .006 inches for intake and .007 for exhaust flat screwdriver,Now start reading on how to adjust them fairly easy
Maybe This has nothing to do with your ?? but i had that noise LISTEN to the valve cover if its coming from there ....
