Want to install a remote start
So due to health issues, I need to be able to be in a temp controlled environment, else my discs in my back react very badly and I get bad pain.
My car is an 1999 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight LS. I want to install a remote start, but don't want to mess with the PCM as it is now. Everything works perfectly, except I hate having to take the door key off the ring, start the car, lock the door, and let the car warm up. What's the best brand I can go with, and should I just go get it professionally installed? Thanks! |

Re: Want to install a remote start
Shop around & get quotes from several installers. If all you want is a remote start, that is easy and should not be that expensive. Be sure to tell them you are not interested in the top-of the line models, then get the best price and have it professionally installed.

Re: Want to install a remote start
I 2nd Hotz. In my shop we carry a remote start only unit that's only $150 installed. Make sure to shop around and see what they have to offer. Better yet, talk to the installers and see what they use in their rides.
