Part inquiry/trunk

So I was loading a bass amp in my trunk and I broke a metal bar that supports the trunk, but I have no idea what the part's called. I was wondering if anyone could help out.

I have an 03 cavalier.

Re: Part inquiry/trunk

If you mean the spring/torsion bar that holds it open/helps lift it, just ask for "the spring that holds the trunk open". Anyone should know what you mean by that.
