2001 Grand am cooling fans not coming on

Help they are not coming on when the should what else is there besides the relays they do come on when you turn a/c on

I-4 or V6?

just checked temperature where you live it is 14F why should they come on?

How high does the temp needle rise? Do you have thermometer for the kitchen? if yes then tie it around the upper radiator hose wait till the needle on the thermometer reaches close to 200 F at that point coolant inside will be bit higher temp maybe close to 212 F that is when fans usually come one.

If you have time test ect sensor for resistance vs temp and compare it to specs. But if you don't have problems with engine starting I would assume ect is OK.

V-6 Where is the ect sensor they would not come on this summer just replaced water pump trying to get everything fixed at one time it gets above 200 like half way between 200 and next big mark then i get scared and turn it off or drive down the road done replaced intake gaskets twice don't wanna do it again
