08 uplander tire pressure fault???

all tire pressures read 35 psi except the front left. this does not happen all the time but when it gives a fault the pressure reading from that tire is always different(i.e 32psi,18psi,6psi etc.). is there an easy fix for this or does it need to go to the shop for repairs. thanks

Re: 08 uplander tire pressure fault???

.

If your '08 van tires uses the new TPMS (Tire Inflation Pressure Monitor System), then yes. Your vehicle needs to see an "auto tech" - who has a special TPMS tool to perform special diagnostics on the TPMS wireless valve stems. My '09 Montana van uses the special TPMS valves stem (at $40+ install per tire). Was told an auto tech needs a special $350 tool to reset and diagnose each TPMS valve stem. As a suggestion, call your local "general" auto repair guy to investigate if your '08 van uses special TPMS system as well....

For more details on TPMS, surf: http://www.aa1car.com/library/tire_monitors.htm

Hope this helps - some how...

What kind of Alarm do you get, if you roll the LF wheel with the LR wheel?
Lets roll it with the Spare tire!
