Front driver's power window problem - 3rd time already and not what you think

I had a problem where it sounded like my motor was dying. If I rolled the window down, I would have to wait in 30 minute increments to roll it up just a little, until it was all the way up. I finally ordered the motor and regulator assembly and it was fixed, but the installer (AAMCO) said the part was set to work backwards, so I had to push up to roll the window down, and pull down on the switch for it to go up.

Fast forward to 2 weeks ago - the window wouldn't go up. They said it was the regulator this time. I ordered a part, paid for it, and it was fixed, but I noticed the past few days the window was creeping up slow.

Well tonight, the window won't go back up and I am pissed. When I move the switch, I don't even hear the motor running or anything. The shop said their mechanic was gone and I needed to come by tomorrow.

Has anyone heard of this happening before? Is there a reliable parts manufacturer? The last one I used was AutoPartsWarehouse.com.

I have lost too much money on this and on this economy, I'm going crazy right now

Backwards ? Thats not right!
Sure they didnt install a pass side regulator on the drivers side?
Or maybe they didnt install it properly, plus it should have lasted longer thean it did.

Dont know that Ive heard of that parts outlet. Ive bought a couple off ebay with no problems so it could just be faulty parts. I would contact them and check if its under warranty or something.

Also wouldnt hurt to check your power window fuse.

When I installed mine I used lithium grease where the cables slide and on the little pulleys shaft to keep them well lubed. The cable can get damaged pretty quick of that pulley isnt turning.

Good Luck and Happy New Year!

Where is the power window fuse located? I couldn't find it on the inside door panel.

They said it was the motor this time, so I pulled the old part the removed 2 weeks ago out of my trunk and told them to merge the 2 since they said that part had a bad regulator only. It took several hours, but they finally fixed it. For now...
