Ferrari Challenge 430

In order to effectively use the PE kit a number of breathing holes had to be opened. In all there were 24 holes backed by 16 pieces of PE screen. Removing the defogger line from the back glass was also time consuming. All in all a satisfying project that used the livery from another kit that may not be proper for a Challenge car, but I like the look.

Re: Ferrari Challenge 430

Thanks. No other photos and I regret not trying harder to capture all the detailing the PE kit added because it transforms the Fujimi kit into something special.

How did you go about the holes in the engine cover? I just ruined a F430 trying to open those....

Re: Ferrari Challenge 430

All holes were opened slowly and carefully by; 1. Cordless drill w/small bit 2. Moto tool w/router bit 3. Needle files 4. 2000 grit sandpaper. I also opened the small panel around the exhaust which was a dumb move as it was very dificult and added nothing to the build.
