New seat

Hello everyone! Long time lurker, with a few posts here.

I've got a 2001 Silverado LT. My drivers seat (leather) has recently begun to crack in several spots. Obviously, it's past the point of repair ( I think?)

My question: Does anyone know of a place (online) that a guy can buy a whole new seat? I've done some searching and have come up empty. A whole new seat is probably more than it's worth, cost wise, but if I could find somewhere to buy one, I'd be pretty tempted.

Re: New seat

Try a salvage yard. It would be a lot cheaper than buying online, and paying shipping.

the seat material can be removed...this was done on my 2000 sil on warrantee...it is not to difficult..then if necessary you can dye the seats to the correct color..the coloring dye is at leather technologies in virginia.

I used this water based dye to repair my leather seat as well as the dash on my 96 impala...saved a lot of money looks great..

leather seats need the proper cleaning and conditioning materials..
I use tanners leather cleaner, and then the conditioner...

eventually the color does fade and wear ..this is were the dye makes things new again....they have directions to properly recondition leather ...prior to dye treatment....this works and will save you money.
