Stalling Primera

Hi all,
I am a Nissan Freak from Jamaica, and I own a Primera and a GTS-4 Skyline, I have a problem with the Primera (Infinity G20) though, it is a 1996 Automatic model powered by the SR20DE, occasionally in traffic in Drive with the car moving at idle, when I get on the gas the car stumbles and sometimes stalls.

When performing the Diagnostics i get a code 43 which is the throttle poeition sensor. what do you guys think. also how much power can the automatic transmission handle as I am planning to add a turbo (Garrett t28 or T3) and run around 6 lbs of boost.

Can someone explain to me what is diagnostics? - Can you plug something into your Primera in the plug below the fuses that does diagnostics on your car - Im guessing? If so, anyone know where to get one of these. If not - explain?

It is possible, by shorting out a couple of pins (IGN and CHK) on the diagnostic connector, to place the ecu in diagnostic mode where it will flash any trouble codes recorded in the ECU memory using the check engine light. If you have a check engine light lit or flashing, this could help narrow down the problem, if not - then there probably isn't any reason to do it.

This is different from the diagnostics that the dealerships do using a special diagnostic computer (Consult I think they call it) which can collect more info such as voltage/current readings into and out of the ECU. Probably too expensive to purchase for personal use, although if you get one you'll be very popular ...
