Unhappy 1997 V-6 Vortec won't run! HELP!!!

Ok. Thanx-I got it running.Seems the Fuel Injector Reg was missing. But now it skips. Ive checked time and done comp check. If I loosen the dist holdown the distributor wobbles profusely. Put new plugs, cap, and rotor on it. Guess I'll try pulling dist to see if the pickup coil is damaged. Thanx alot for the replies...

Scott

first go back and double/triple check your connections. also check that you didnt damage the MAF sensor. it has a couple very fine filaments, and if these are damaged, it has to be replaced.

also, you say NEW engine, is newly rebuilt, or from a salvage yard?

as much info as you can provide will greatly increase chances of someone sending you in the right direction.
