Wheel Stud

I've replaced wheel studs before on other cars, so I know it's not rocket science, but on my 99 regal, I've got a busted one on the front. I took the brake assembly apart, and got the old one out, but the new one won't go in. Not enough clearance. I've never had that issue before. Do I need to remove the hub just to put in the new bolt, or is there another trick to doing it on this car? If I need to remove the hub, is it difficult to remove on this car?

Thanks!

Re: Wheel Stud

Original length studs will not fit without removing the hub, (which you do not want to do) so try to find a Dorman part # 610-324 which is a shorter stud that fits either the front or rear. You should be able to find them at about any parts store that sells Dorman products. BTW, the shorter stud still has plenty of threads for tightening, once installed.
