torque converter

how do you put in a torque converter in an 1986 chevey s10 4x4?

Welcome to AF on your first post.

You can see it if you pull the splash pan cover on front lower transmission.
To replace it you have to remove transmission.

What is the problem or what is it doing or not doing?

whinding out then shifting hard from 1st to 2nd making a whinning noise
transmisstion wines

checked the transmition dip stick and transmition fluid still red not burned

some one said could me a torque conver for the wining from what ive been told and to adjust the cable for the shiftin from what i was told
