CMS's TownCar (2000 signature)

Hia, Joining this forum I would like to say that I have inherited a TownCar and have been quite ambitious in making it unique and representative of my ambitions

I have done basic chrome projects myself, though I feel that this forum will be able to ask my future questions and projects regarding my Town Car:
Before: (original)

After:

I recently payed $800 to get the suspension fixed (bad bag resulted in burning out the compressor), but other than that the car has been very faithful and problem resistant (knock on wood)

I am looking to put chrome pillars and rocker panels and have already purchased lights (eurodezigns 8500k) that are on the way an I will be glad to write a review on them for everyone.

If you have any problems, I live in Vero and would be glad to help.

Re: CMS's TownCar (2000 signature)

the eurodezigns are HID mimic lights, but they are truly halogen lights, so it should just be a basic bulb replacement. (if im correct...) (hopefully I didnt just buy HID lights without the right lenz )
vero ftw

Re: CMS's TownCar (2000 signature)

My eurodezigns have not arrived yet but I did do a little modding for the time being:

Audi lights anyone?

They are weatherproof silicon-sealed LED's that I bought at autozone (my local store just got a new batch of different lights).
I used a volt meter to tap around and found that the fog lights run 12 volts normally (minor and ground) and 16 volts on high (major and ground) and the minor remains energized whenever the fog light is on.

I did non-destructive splicing on both the minor and ground of the fog lights (removing coating but not cutting the wires) then wired the LED's in parallel to the fog light circuit. I concluded that they draw very little power (amps) because the display "test and see" system on the packaging was powered by a cheesy watch-sized battery with a minuscule amh rating, thus not interfere with the Amp regulation of the fog system.

Hopefully those eurodezigns will come by tomorrow

on the bottom picture you can see 2 rows of lights, but surprisingly the bigger bulb row is a reflection of the real row which is above it, a beneficial illusion if you ask me
