90 accord ex belt squeeling, not sure what it is! plz help!!

i have a 90 accord ex with the f22a4 motor..

its a manuel transmission as well

my issue i'm having is when i start it up there is a belt squeeling and if i rev it up really high like almost 6k it will get quiter and stop after 5 seconds of rev.

when i'm driving it sometimes starts squeeling then goes away in like 3 seconds and while it squeels the battery light indicator comes on then goes off, the dash lights and headlights dim, and after it squeels again they get bright again.

i was told by previouse owner the alt. was replaced with a refurbished one and his best guess is that they either didnt tighten it enough or they loosen it enough.

i sprayed wd40 on it and it still didnt help anything.

does anyone have any ideas what it could be? or how to fix this issue?

i really need your help here, please no flaming or sarcasm i would appreciate it.

PLEASE HELP !!

First wd40 is a lubricant and I would not use it on a slipping belt. Second when a belt has been slipping for a long time it gets glazed and slips more. You should replace the belt to the alternator. While you have the belt off check the feel of the alternator to see if it turns freely. The batt light is on when slipping to let you know the alternator is not putting out voltage like it is supposed to.

WD-40 will help clean dirty greasy residue off a belt and improve grip if you spray it on while running...but of course it also flings it all over the place.

+1 on checking the alternator...with the belt off spin the pulley quickly with your hand on the case...any hiss you hear or rumble you feel is bad news for the alt's bearings...lotta people think because they spin an accessory and it freewheels nicely it's ok...bearings in good condition will actually not allow much freewheel, it should stop very quickly and have a damped feel when you rotate it..

had a customer with this problem too.. it ended up being the crank pulley.. its a 2 piece pulley. he had a bad powersteering pump, swaped it out, it still did it, then found the pulley wasnt true.. try that
