Are they both the same transmission and same transfer case?

yeah they were both the same tranny 700r4. i think they are the same transfer case i believe it is the np241. Is their some place online to see the interchange book.

You might check you public libraries.
Most have car repair info and a lot of them are online to. The interchange book may be made by Hollander or something like that. Good Luck
