Question Replacement Wiper Blade Fitment Problem

I have been trying to replace the wiper blades (whole blade assembly, not just the insert) on my '05 Chevy Aveo.

The Aveo has the "hook" type of attachment on the wiper arm, so what supposed to happen is that the replacement blade simply slides in, and a little plastic tap locks it in place.

The problem is this - it seems the little plastic tab does not lock in, and I'm worried that the blades may work their way loose. My summer blades seem to have the little plastic tab "inside" the hook, putting pressure outward, but I've now bought two sets of winter blades and they all have the plastic tab "outside" the hook putting pressure inward.

Has anyone else encountered this hook mounting incompatibility?

Re: Replacement Wiper Blade Fitment Problem

I had that problem on my 05. Turns out that I had the wiper blade assembly upside down. Rotate it 180 degrees and try snapping it on.
