Re: Looking for info about this Alfa Romeo kit
I wouldn't mind some information either, it looks like a neat little kit.

Re: Looking for info about this Alfa Romeo kit
Believe it was made by Joker in Japan, quite some time ago.
Have not seen it built, or in person, so can't comment on quality.

Thank you for the info Alex.
What is your opinion about the quality of other Joker kits or transkits that you saw in person? |

Re: Looking for info about this Alfa Romeo kit
I had the Joker kit around 10 years ago. You would be better off getting the ScaleKraft kit, as its based on the very good EXMODEL of Japan TZ kit.
The Hiro is the best of the lot, but rather expensive. The big problem with the Joker kit is the wheels, wich are not very good. Joker kits are rather simple. I had the Dino, P4, SZ, Ford GT longnose, Lotus 33 and TZ1. They all were rather crude with no decals. The only semi detailed kit from them was the Alfa SZ shortail wich has engine detail and photoetch. Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo 2010 model/photo contest-Chicago April 24, 2010 |

Re: Looking for info about this Alfa Romeo kit
I have the Joker long nose 250LM which is a transkit for the Sunny/Academy 250LM.
Not bad, not great but workable.

Re: Looking for info about this Alfa Romeo kit
Hi all,
there is another 1/24 TZ1 resin kit; it was lightly based on the old EX-Model too, but with more PE and decals and WM parts, not present in the original kit. Produced by H.T.M., that kit is actually OOP, but I still have a few of them in two versions: 1964 Targa Florio and Le Mans. The kit has a well-shaped body and is very easy to build for a very attractive model at a reasonably price. If anyone is interested, can contact me with PM. Soon, Miki |
