Trying to change timng chn cover seal

Ok my boys 5.9 on his 97 is leaking antifreeze.Its really hard to tell where.I finally trakd it to timing chain cover against block. Im wondering am i in for any surprises? Do you have to take oil pan off ?.Ive got water pump off im assuming ac an all the brackets then i think im ready for timing cover.Any comments id appreciate i wanna finish tomorrow..Thanks Dave
