2000 cadillac escalade fuel gauge problems

for some weird reason when im out and about the fuel gauge will vibrate then go form E to F and i never really know how much fuel i have. anyone know what it might be?

It is a bad fuel pump sending unit. There is a factory recall still available if your vehicle has less than 70,000 miles. The only way to fix the problem is to replace the entire fuel pump assembly. There are no manufacturers at all that make JUST the sending unit. You have to buy the whole damn thing. I just changed the pump in my 2002 Tahoe (same pump as yours) for $286.00 plus tax!!!!!
