Outside Temperature Reading

I just purchased a 2002 Park Avenue. I believe the outside air temp is probably displayed somewhere, but can't seem to find it. The car did not have a manual. There is a compass reading on the rear view mirror. Where is the temp reading? Thanks for any help. I am wondering if I need to push a button to display it.

Re: Outside Temperature Reading

See if there is a button the mirror that will bring the temp up, and as mentioned usually with ahvac the temp is displayed on the panel.

Re: Outside Temperature Reading

It does have automatic temp control and I do see the inside temp on the display. There is probably a way to flip over to the outside temp by pressing a button on the climate control. I did press some buttons on the mirror and I believe it started to call Onstar. The radio muted. I pressed the button again and it said, "Goodbye."

There is a red button for emergencies. I should disable these buttons if possible. I have a 5 year old who will find them eventually.

The display in the HVAC changes to outside temp after 30 sec or a minute if you don't touch any buttons on it to change operation.

Or you can press the OFF button and it displays the outside temp after you've turned off the HVAC--if the passenger temp control is in use you'll have to press OFF twice. The first time disables the passenger settings and reverts to driver settings.

Download that owners manual if you don't have one in the glovebox.

Re: Outside Temperature Reading

That works. I did see the outside temp this morning on the climate control display. Thanks. This afternoon, the dealer called me at work and said the previous owner dropped off the owners manual and some other stuff earlier today. I stopped by after work and now have a manual, which is great. There is a book on Onstar as well. Sounds like it will not work anyway as there has to be a subscription.
