Try some armorall dash cleaner, better than window cleaner. You can ever try spraying a little wd-40 on a rag but try the armorall first.

Re: PEASE HELP!! wife stained my dashboard

Some of those anti-bacterial aprays have bleach or other similar active biocides which can react with the pigments (usually also organic) in the plastic. No amount of Armor-All will replace that.

It will be a PITA, but your best bet is to repaint the dash with a paint specifically made for plastic. Look in the auto parts store in the paint section and follow the directions.

The important thing is to make sure the surface is clean and free of oils (such as Armor-All) and mask off EVERYTHING you don't want paint on...the spray will go EVERYWHERE. Don't forget the ends that butt up against the door. If you can remove the dash from the car that's best (Yes, an even bigger PITA!) because you can then do it in a controlled environment such as a garage.

Which reminds me of another important point...temperature. If you don't have space heaters, I'd suggest waiting until spring to try this as paint won't cure well in cold temps...READ the directions.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Don't take any shortcuts you should use proper dash paint otherwise you will have to live with the horrible results (and so will the next owner). Good luck
