98 Durango - wont start - need help

Have a 98 Durango that wont start. Will turnover but wont fire at all. Was running fine previously, also none of the instrument panel gauges are working at all now. Security light comes and stays on too. Seems like all this is somehow connected.

Initially had blown rear brake cylinder, was moving inside to replace, when all of a sudden it wouldn't start and this whole new issue. Dont think that has anything to do with this.

Replaced the battery, but at a loss here - any ideas??

Re: 98 Durango - wont start - need help

Turning on the ingition does not give me a "NO BUS" error, the mileage just blinks.

I have also noticed the SECURITY light now stays on all the time - never noticed this before. Could somehow it activated something preventing the car from starting?? It has never had an alarm/security system on it since we've had it.

possibly sounds like a bus problem failure...I would try and disconnect your cam, crank, tps, map, ac pressure, power steering switch and re-check your gauges. I could be a variety of problems, are you able to check does or use a scanner....
