cross over pipe broken
I have a 1989 ford crown vic 302 5.0 and the air injection pipe is broken at the air valve which runs down to the smog pump. It is the cross over pipe behind the heads what is the best way to fix this problem. Is there anyone out there with the knowlegde on how to fix this injection pipe so i can take my car and get it inspected. Thanks

Re: cross over pipe broken
Well i don't see how your response will help me any, because my cross over pipe is located between the fire wall and the back of the motor. And it run down the right side of the motor and then connects to the smog pump I was told that it could be fixed by taken the whole top of motor off but to me that seam like a lot of unnessary work. but I appreciate your efforts anyway. Thanks

Get tubing diameter and buy the coupler you need. |

Re: cross over pipe broken
I have the same problem on my 89 Grand Marquis. The head is threaded on mine where the pipe goes into the head. The pipe doesn't use the threads but they are there. I was going to just plug mine off. I don't know if they will look that close at things like this on the inspection. Does it have to pass a smog test?
