AE86 drift mode

well, i've been gone for a while. changes in life. well some of it is back on track. im working on this for a contest on another forum. our group is drift theme. so heres my work so far.











i have done more to it since, just need to upload the pics. i hope to get some more work done, but space is tight and can't just leave my stuff on my work desk anymore. hope you like it.

hey mrceej, thank for the comp. im using just putty for the front and rear arches since i didn't have a particular design in mind. also using styrene for certain parts.

I guess my question should be what specific putty? Since the tamiya putties have been discontinued I have never found anything that matches it terms of ease of application and shaping/sanding. I've since went back to using Testor's and Elmer's wood filler but I'm still not satisfied. I see that you're in California so I was hoping you had a better solution that I could find locally.

PS I'm on the 4AG boards as well.

i see. it's the tamiya 2 part epoxy putty. got it on ebay a while back. they have some polyester type putty now, i hear it good as well. im looking on buying some to try it out.
there is also some green stuff, i forgot the name of it. but when i get back to the desk ill look for it to tell you.

im on c4ag forum as well. under zenkicoupe.

ok, this doesn't look like much of an update. but sanding the body to get it smooth for paint is a pain. plus cold weather doesn't help either for getting ready for painting.
it actually sits the way it's suppose to sit. it's on axles and front suspension. stripped the chrome off of the wheels and rear calipers. hope to get it done soon. looks like better weather here in so cali.

hey very cool build! I love the fenders/ rollcage. I'm currently working on sil eighty. I love your build

I do have some questions for you.

1. where did you find your wheels/tires?

2. where did you find your intercooler?

3. what forum is this build from?
