99 water leak

I have a 99 3.4. I rebuilt the top half of the engine about 3 years ago.... now it seems that all that work is going to crap. I have a water leak that started very slow a few months ago but now is to the point that the res is empty within a day. i can see water dripping from the off the frame on the belt side of the engine but cant see where it is coming from. I don't think that its the water pump because I replaced that only a year ago... also doesn't look to be coming from the lower radiator hose, radiator, or the reservoir as i cant see any water coming from them... Ive been working on cars for a long time but this leak is getting the best of me.... anyone have any ideas??

Re: 99 water leak

I just had the same problem with mine and it was the lower intake manifold gaskets where the intake meets the cylinder heads & engine block. Look with a bright flashlight with the car running down in-between the power steering pump reservoir and the intake.Good luck, ive been having a coolant leak issue with mine and it's driving me crazy.

Welcome to AF a3d884 !

I would agree that it could be your lower intake again.
Though it also could be the water pump, a much cheaper and easier repair, on the pass side.

Typical coolant leaks are from lower intake where the flat part sets on the engine block in the middle. You should see coolant laying on top of the block behind/under the power steering pump.

Hope that helps, and everyone Have a Great Holiday!
