99 jeep cherokee oil sensor

I have had to replace my oil sensor about 3 times over the past year. I am not sure what is wrong because I had the oil pressure checked while the check engine light was on and my oil pressure was fine. They recommended changing the oil pressure sensor so I did just that. Everything was fine until a few months later when I had to change it again. Happened again a while later. Now the engine light is on again and I don't want to change the sensor again until I try to find out what is blowing out the sensor. Any ideas????

oil pressure is not the issue when the check engine light is on...only when the check gauges light is on. I would put it on the code reader and see what that check engine light is on for. Good luck man.
